Become a Registered Sports Official
If you are interested in becoming a sports official in Nebraska, we recommend registering with the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA). The benefits of this path include:
  • NFHS Rule and mechanics manuals, provided through your registration fee 
  • Guidance from the NSAA Supervisor of Officials​ (See NSAA Contacts in the Sports Menu)
  • Access to pre-season clinics sponsored by the NHSOA/NSAA
  • Access to veteran officials in your chosen sport
How to Register with the NSAA:
  1. Go to nsaahome.org.
  2. Hover over "Officials" in the menu, then select "Officials Home Page".
  3. Scroll to and select "Officials Registration & Login Information". 
  4. Follow the detailed directions to get registered. 

Note: Once you register and pay your fee(s) with the NSAA, you will need to complete registration requirements that include viewing a rules meeting and taking an online test. These requirements are required each year you register. 
How to Find Contests to Officiate
Contact your NHSOA Board Representative or District Representative for your sport for more information. You can find the names of these individuals in the "SPORTS" menu.
