About the NHSOA

The NHSOA is a Statewide association striving to meet the needs of every registered official across the State. Football, volleyball, softball, baseball, wrestling, basketball, soccer, swimming & diving, and track & field each have a committee with a chairperson, that chairperson serves on a 9 person board. The NHSOA Executive Director serves as a liaison to the NSAA and handles day to day operations of the NHSOA while working with the board. We are looking for members who want to make a difference in High School officiating and umpiring across the State.

We Believe
  • In developing a high level of integrity and professionalism among officials.

  • In teaching and promoting good sportsmanship to coaches and players.

  • In providing camps/clinics to educate officials towards a common philosophy, rules knowledge, and the proper mechanics to enforce these rules.

  • In retaining and recruiting officials by working with each other and the NSAA in a constructive and cooperative manner.

  • In developing a statewide mentoring program.

  • In honoring our officials for hard work, time spent, and promoting officiating by hosting an awards banquet.
